Privacy

This site uses Google Analytics to learn which websites and countries visitors come from. Here’s what it collects and how to opt out.

What it measures

Google Analytics records the pages you view, the website or app that sent you here, your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address), your device, browser and language, and actions such as scrolling to the end of a page, opening a link to another site or using the contact form.

It doesn’t receive your name, your email address or what you type into the contact form. Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses.

Why

The reports show me which platforms and countries bring visitors and which pages help them, so I know where to share new guides.

Cookies and storage

Google Analytics sets two cookies on jmlp.dev whose names start with _ga. They tell visits apart and expire two years after your last visit.

Your theme and language choices are saved in your browser. When the site switches you to your language automatically, it briefly keeps the address of the page that linked here, so Google Analytics credits your visit to the right source.

How long it’s kept

Google Analytics keeps this data for 14 months, then deletes it.
